A 4-day safari to Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve) and Mikumi National Park offers a perfect blend of Tanzania’s rich wildlife and scenic landscapes. Nyerere National Park, one of the largest wildlife reserves in Africa, is home to elephants, lions, giraffes, and the rare African wild dogs. It offers thrilling game drives and river safaris along the Rufiji River. Mikumi National Park, known for its open savannahs reminiscent of the Serengeti, provides exceptional opportunities to spot wildlife like zebras, wildebeests, and large herds of buffalo. This 4-day adventure promises diverse ecosystems, exciting wildlife encounters, and a truly immersive safari experience.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Nyerere National Park

Nyerere National Park is one of Africa's largest game reserves, offering diverse landscapes including savannahs, wetlands and woodlands. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a thrilling game drive upon arrival, exploring the park's rich wildlife. Overnight stay at Selous Wilderness Camp.

Day 2: Nyerere National Park

After breakfast, guests will proceed with a full day of activities within Nyerere National Park. The park is renowned for its abundant wildlife, including elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species. Overnight stay at Sable Mountain Lodge, nestled amidst the stunning scenery of the park.

Day 3: Mikumi National Park

Departure to Mikumi National Park after breakfast. Mikumi is known as Tanzania's fourth-largest national park and offers a diverse array of wildlife. Guests will enjoy a game drive upon arrival, exploring the park's plains and observing its inhabitants. Overnight stay at Vuma Hills Tented Camp, providing a comfortable retreat in the heart of the wilderness.

Day 4: Mikumi National Park

Guests will have the opportunity for a final game drive in Mikumi National Park in the early morning. Afterward, they will return to Dar es Salaam where the safari concludes, dropping off at the desired location.

*low season (01.03-31.05. 01.11-31.11),in case of the rainy season, in the south of Tanzania is a lot of rainy and there may be significant transportation problems. For this reason, we do not recommend traveling to this part of the country during this time.
