Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania - Transfer to Oldonyo Lengai Base Camp

Pick up from your hotel in Arusha town. Transfer to the base camp at the foot of Oldonyo Lengai, an active volcano standing at 2,878 meters (9,442 feet) above sea level. Check-in and settle into your accommodation at the base camp. Enjoy a welcome dinner and briefing about the upcoming adventure.

Day 2: Summit Oldonyo Lengai - Return to Base Camp

Rise early for breakfast before starting your ascent of Oldonyo Lengai. Trek through challenging terrain, including volcanic ash and rocky slopes. Reach the summit an elevation of 3,188 meters (10,459 feet) and witness the sunrise over the unique landscapes. Descend back to the base camp and rest after the challenging climb.

Day 3: Rest Day at Oldonyo Lengai Base Camp

Take a well-deserved rest day to recover from the previous day's climb. Explore the surrounding area or engage in cultural activities with the local Maasai community. Enjoy a leisurely day at the base camp, soaking in the views and preparing for the next leg of the journey.

Day 4: Transfer to Mt. Meru Base Camp

Depart from Oldonyo Lengai and transfer to the base camp of Mt. Meru. Check-in to your accommodation and acclimatize to the higher altitude. Enjoy a relaxing evening at the base camp, surrounded by the natural beauty of Mt. Meru.

Day 5: Mt. Meru Climb - Acclimatization Day

Begin your ascent of Mt. Meru, Tanzania's second-highest peak. Trek through diverse ecosystems, including montane forests and alpine meadows. Acclimatize to the altitude and enjoy the scenery along the way.

Day 6: Mt. Meru Summit Attempt

Continue your climb towards the summit of Mt. Meru. Navigate challenging terrain and ascend to the summit. Take in breathtaking views from the top before descending back to the base camp.

Day 7: Return from Mt. Meru - Rest Day

Descend from Mt. Meru and return to the base camp. Rest and recuperate after the challenging climb. Enjoy a leisurely day at the base camp, reflecting on your achievement.

Day 8: Transfer to Kilimanjaro - Machame Route

Transfer to the Machame Gate, the starting point for your Kilimanjaro climb. Complete registration and meet your experienced guides and porters. Begin the trek through lush rainforest, gradually

ascending towards the Shira Plateau. Set up camp at Machame Camp and enjoy dinner under the stars.

Day 9: Kilimanjaro Climb - Shira Camp

Depart from Machame Camp and continue your ascent along the Machame Route. Trek through diverse landscapes, including moorland and heath zones. Arrive at Shira Camp, located at the base of the Shira Plateau. Settle into your campsite and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

Day 10: Kilimanjaro Climb - Barranco Camp

Resume your climb, traversing the rocky terrain towards Lava Tower. Acclimatize to the altitude and enjoy lunch with stunning views of the Western Breach. Descend to Barranco Camp, known as the "Garden of Eden" due to its lush surroundings. Rest and prepare for the challenging Barranco Wall climb the following day.

Day 11: Kilimanjaro Climb - Karanga Camp

Conquer the Barranco Wall, a thrilling scramble that rewards you with breathtaking views. Continue your trek through alpine desert, crossing several ridges and valleys. Arrive at Karanga Camp, situated beneath the southern glaciers of Kilimanjaro. Enjoy a well-deserved rest and take in the beauty of the surrounding landscape.

Day 12: Kilimanjaro Climb - Barafu Camp

Begin your final ascent towards the summit of Kilimanjaro. Trek across the barren landscape of the upper mountain, ascending to Barafu Camp. Arrive at Barafu Camp and prepare for the summit attempt later that night. Rest and refuel with a hearty dinner before the challenging climb ahead.

Day 13: Kilimanjaro Summit Day - Mweka Camp

Wake up before midnight and start the final push towards Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Trek through the darkness, guided by your headlamp and the stars above. Reach the summit in time for sunrise and celebrate your achievement. Descend back to Barafu Camp for a short rest before continuing down to Mweka Camp.

Day 14: Descend from Kilimanjaro - Mweka Gate

Descend through the lush rainforest, enjoying the sights and sounds of the lower slopes. Arrive at Mweka Gate, where you'll receive certificates to commemorate your climb. Transfer back to your hotel in Arusha or Moshi, where you can rest and reflect on your incredible journey.
