A Story Rooted in Kilimanjaro

This is not just a tourism business, it is a lifelong connection to Mount Kilimanjaro, the people around it, and the dreams it inspires.

Where it all began

Behind HEC Kilimanjaro Safaris LTD is Emma Moye, born in Kenya and raised in Marangu village at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro on the Tanzanian side.

Emma Moye

The mountain has always been part of her life. What began as a childhood dream to one day reach the summit became a lifelong connection, not only to the mountain, but to the people and communities around it.

Together with her husband, a respected mountain guide, she founded the company in 2017. The name HEC represents their family, Honest, Emma, and Cedric, a reflection of the people and values at the heart of the business.

After his passing, Emma chose to continue their shared dream, building something that is both deeply personal and meaningful.
